The Swan 38 was introduced in 1974. The production run ended in 1979 with 116 hulls built. Two sail plans were offered: a one-tonner configuration and a "light weather" rig. This pretty boat is a bit out of character with typical Sparkman & Stephens designs of the period. The sale was generated out of our then Boston office but I can see most of the plans were created in New York. The boat was built by Simms Brothers of Dorchester, Massachusetts and launched in 1936. Design 2079 Swan 48

The Swan 48 was the 6th design developed for Nautor of Finland. The boat was developed to rate under the I.O.R. Rule and yet be a great cruising boat. She was introduced in 1971. 46 boats were built during the production run that ended in 1975. A yawl rig option was also offered. Here are the plans. Design 2297 Swan 57

The Swan 57 was one of the last boats designed for Nautor of Finland by Sparkman & Stephens. 49 boats were built during a production run that started in 1977 and ended in 1984. These are great offshore boats and are still sought by buyers. Here are the plans. The boat was offered in both sloop and ketch configurations and later a centerboard option was added. Here's Rod doing sea trials with a group of Nautor personnel and it looks like with the new owner as well. Here's a brief article, source unknown. Design 2112 Swan 44

The Swan 44 was introduced in 1972. The production run lasted until 1975 with 76 hulls built. She is one of the great classic cruiser-racers of the period and still provides a great value as a cruising boat today.
